WHMCS today announced the release of the first public beta of WHMCS Version 7.0, the forthcoming new version of the core WHMCS software. This is a pre-production release and as such is not recommended for production use at this time.
The new version of WHMCS introduces several major updates including automatic updates, an improved domain search and purchase experience, simple product configuration and PHP 7.0 compatibility. You can find out more about the new features in version 7 here.
If you want to try out the new version of WHMCS in a test environment, you can join the beta WHMCS 7.0 beta programme and download a copy of the software here. Please note that the new version requires PHP version 5.6 as a minimum.
Absolutely! We will continue to support and update our themes as we always have done.
We are currently setting up a test server to begin testing our themes and templates with the new version of WHMCS, and will continue to track the WHMCS 7 series development over the coming weeks and months to ensure that all of our themes will continue to work with the new version when it is made available for general release.
You can rest assured that if you already own one of our themes, or are looking to purchase one, it will continue to work with the new version of WHMCS when it arrives.
